Winfred Kelly died Thursday, Dec. 13th.   Services will be at 2pm tomorrow at St. Laurence Cathedral with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery by Blackburn Shaw Funeral home. The family will receive guests from  5 to 7 pm this evening (Monday) and services are Tuesday. Winfred worked on the reunion committee for a number of times and brought his wife to the reunion last year. I learned from reading his obituary that he served his country a number of times including doing Russian interpretation at the Pentagon.

Carol Hollis Warren died Saturday morning, 12/15. Carol and her husband lived in Dimmit.  Services will be tomorrow morning at 11:00 am at the 1st Baptist Church in Dimmit with burial in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo at approximately 3:00 pm. Colonial Funeral Home in Dimmit will have the services and their web site at www.colonialfuneralhome.org has a memorial page with her picture and a tribute to her life. There is also a guest book at that site. I talked to her children today and they said  she was very glad she got to come to the reunion even though she was not well at the time and it was great that she got to see some of her friends.

Don was taken by ambulance to BSA Hospital Friday morning, 9-29, with chest pains.  Come to find out that all 4 of his 10 yr. old heart by-passes are completed blocked and nothing can be done about it surgically.  His heart was beating only 15 beats a minute and as it was explained by the doctor when it is 35 or below one can suffer a cardiac arrest.  So he's fortunate to be alive and will have a defibrillator inserted tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 which takes about 1 hr. and will be observed for 24 hrs. So he will probably be able to come home Thursday.  He will be treated with medicine and that's all we know at this time.
